SigEp's Latest and Greatest Welcome to Colorado Delta! Growing the Brotherhood Colorado Delta Prioritizes GPA and Chapter Resources O ver the past year, Colorado Delta has thrived and achieved our academic and fraternal goals, stimulating member involvement and enriching the member- ship experience through exciting events and our robust and extensive develop- ment programs. Last semester, our new vice president of programming, Johnny Desrosiers '22, instilled in our members a new spirit of brotherhood, planning and executing many successful and fulfilling brotherhood events. These events have increased involvement of older active members who have moved out or otherwise had their involvement sink. Furthermore, VP of Member Development Aaron Guillory '21 has emphasized mental health and mindfulness in his cabinet, providing additional resources and support for all brothers. For the sixth semester in a row, we posted the highest GPA of any Greek organization on campus, this time with a 3.44—0.3 points higher than the fraternity average. Beyond academics, members are seeing success in athletic organizations. The Mines club soccer team, in which six of our brothers competed last semester, was invited to the club soccer nationals tournament. Additionally, we saw three brothers compete for the Mines club baseball team—Reece Hall '21, Mitch Halloran '20, Taj Mitchell '20—and three more compete for the club tennis team—Curtis Harrison '21, Sean Skweres '22, and Evan Hoodmaker '20. We partnered with Alpha Phi and Phi Gamma Delta for National Hazing Prevention Week and hosted events at Mines throughout the week of September 23. In an upcoming philanthropic event this semester, participants will pay a small entry fee to run a mile while eating a donut, with all proceeds benefiting the homeless in Denver. We also saw success in recruitment, with VP of Recruitment J.C. Hohenshelt '21 planning popular events and netting 15 new members, growing our active Chapter to 70 members. Please feel free to stop by at any time and meet some of the men I am proud to call my brothers.
