The Beacon 2 T he Delta Kappa Chapter has had a remarkable start to the fall semester. To begin the year, we welcomed back over 180 of our members and signed 68 new members during formal recruitment, maintaining our legacy of the largest fraternity on campus. Accountability on Campus This semester, we partnered with the Interfraternity Council to create a Diversity and Inclusion night. The night was headlined by speaker Lawrence Ross and took place in early September. The members of Alpha Tau Omega acknowledge the issues facing our campus and are making it a priority to help in any way possible to keep OU on the right path. Leading Brothers Many of our members hold leadership positions across campus. The past three and current President's Community Scholars have all been ATWs. Haden Bollenbach '19 holds the prestigious role this year. It is given to one freshman out of the 120 in the PCS. Alpha Tau Omega is also representing for OU's largest philanthropic event, Soonerthon. Brendan Anoatubby '18 serves as the vice chairman of programming and Anthony Anderson '18 is the vice chairman of business. We also have Cade Shaw '18 as the current LEAD Team chair, an organization dedicated to strengthening leaders on OU's campus. And finally, we have the current OU Student Body president and vice president, Adran Gibbs '17 and Prince Ohene-Nyako '17. We are so proud of our brothers in these leadership positions and the many others not listed here. Moving forward, our priorities remain to excel in leadership, volunteerism, intramurals, and academics. We are making strides in improving all these areas by creating a network of accountability in our brotherhood. Through this network, we encourage every brother to succeed in their own ways. As ATWs we surround ourselves with those who push each other to be better men than the day before.
