Train- ing will include building positive brother/ sisterhoods, creating meaningful connec- tions in the new member process, and hazing prevention. New member educators will be asked to submit written lesson plans for the chapter's individual education plan, though ritual and fraternity traditions do not need to be included. As part of the new member process, the OFSL recommends new members be provided information on the OFSL, and Greek life in general, through an orientation program led by the four Greek governing councils. This program would aid in providing an impartial view of the Greek community and university traditions. Revised Recruitment Practices As outlined by the Fraternity and Sorority Life Advisory Report: "Approved by IFC in two separate, nearly unanimous votes, formal recruitment was held in August, the week before classes began. The OFSL will host a smaller formal recruitment event early in the summer in conjunction with a Summer Welcome (freshmen orientation) event for those chapters interested in participating." Rather than allowing a chapter to recruit throughout the year, these revised policies layout specific periods for recruitment and ways to combat alcohol consumption at Bid Day events. To read the full list of policy recommendations that will be implemented Greek Life Policy Changes (Continued from front page) between spring 2019 and fall 2021, go to http://bit.ly/MizzouFSLReport. Missouri Chapter brothers gain new leadership skills at the Regional Leadership Academy. #NHPW19 Tim Piazza lost his life as a result of severe hazing activities. In an effort to promote stronger brotherhood, Delta Upsilon at Uni- versity of Missouri created a "Live Like Tim" board with photos of Tim and his family and placed it in their foyer. DU members then added photos of their loved ones to the board to serve as a constant reminder to love our brothers, who are our family. #WeAreDU #BuildingBetterMen
