Littlefield '54, returned to campus in 1956 for the official installation of Connecticut Alpha as the 142nd chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Aer military service and a career in insurance, Don and wife Lydia (UConn KKG '57), retired to live full time on their Block Island home (the Littlefields go back 10 generations on the island!). Don and Lydia have been married 61 years, operate a B&B (belleisleisgreat.com), and host frequent family gatherings for their four daughters (9 grandchildren) and extended families. omas P. Muchisky '56 is semi-retired and still handles legal and intellectual property issues for his three companies. Aer graduation, Tom worked for IBM and then joined the US Marine Corps. An MBA from Harvard followed in 1960, as did a career with Booz Allen Hamilton, Hexcel, and Litton Industries. omas started his first company in 1975, owned 11 companies by 2003, and sold eight of the 11, primarily to former management. Tom lives in St. Louis, Mo., with his wife, Michi. Email: thomasp@ muchisky.com Edmund J. Funaro '58 remains active as a pharmacist and owner of Visels Pharmacy. He and his wife, Janet, have five children, and boast 20 grand- and great-grandchildren. He hopes to visit UConn campus soon. Email: edjanfun@ cox.net Peter J. Becker '59 is a retired FBI agent, labor attorney, and CEO of American Consulting Group. He continues to work on the board of several companies, travels the world and volunteers in Fallbrook, Calif., where he resides. David R. Drescher '59 retired aer dedicating 40 years in marketing for companies such as Procter & Gamble and Fruit of the Loom. "ank you for sending updates. Stickles '59 "retired" from a long career with Travelers Insurance in 1993 and promptly started his own Stickles Insurance Agency in Marion, Mass. In 2012, he passed the reigns over to his son, Robert Stickles '85 (in addition to Robert, nephews Jeffrey and Scott, both '86, are also CT Alphas). A member of the Beverly Yacht Club and regular player at the Kittansett Golf Club, Al and his wife of 59 years, Jocelyn, spend their winters in Venice, Fla., where they are members of the Pelican Point Country Club. Email: alstickles@gmail.com George Zitnay '60 is an internationally recognized expert in brain injury and trauma. He served as founder and director of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center, where he helped develop guidelines for concussions caused by IEDs and is co-founder of the International Brain Injury Association. Perry '61 retired from the New York Department of Transportation as an associate transportation analyst in 1995. He received his master's of civil engineering from RPI in 1967. Laxar '61 went to work as a civilian scientist aer earning his Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Brown University. He retired in 1998 as director of vision research at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Lab in Groton. He has two daughters and four grandchildren. Kevin and wife, Claudia, travel extensively and enjoy life by the seashore in Stonington, Conn. Email: kevlax282@comcast.net Paul P. Nappi '61 retired from Pratt & Whitney aerospace manufacturer in 1993 and retired again in 2014 from a real estate career. Residing in Saint Lucie West, Fla., Paul is the vice president of the Florida Ski Council and is an avid snow skier, golfer, and tennis player. Email: pnski@comcast.net Francis R. Dillon '62 retired as a US Air Force brigadier general in 2005 after serving as Commander of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C. He is the author of two novels, The Photograph and Vacationland Terrorists, and is working on his third. Frank and his wife, Judith, reside in Brunswick, Maine. Email: botanyfrd@comcast.net Raymond "Ted" Johnson '62 spent time in the Army before applying his degree in food science to a career in the food processing business. This included many moves and changes with companies such as Keebler and Pepperidge Farm. Ted and wife, Barbara (UConn Pi Beta Phi), have three daughters and several dogs and are now living on a golf resort in North Carolina. "Life has been good to us." Robert Donovan '62 and wife Charlotte have two daughters, Cheryl and Heather, and one granddaughter, Cameron. Before moving to Maine in 2017, they lived in Las Vegas for 10 years. A career in US and international HR has allowed Robert (who speaks seven languages) and Charlotte to travel to more than 60 countries. Email: rdonova4@gmail.com After graduating UConn with a BS and MS, Robert Hennessey '63 went on to a long career in biotech and pharma, including executive positions at Sterling Drug, Merck, SmithKline, and Abbott Labs, multiple corporate director and advisory roles, and was a senior advisor for Life Sciences, UConn R & D Corporation. Bob is a former CEO of Genome Therapeutics, Board Chairman at Ology Bioservices (Alachua, Fla.), and co-founder, CEO, and board chairman of Mitotherapeutix (Farmington, Conn.). Bob keeps in touch with several brothers, including Wayne Stiles '63, Bruce Vogel '63, Don Sauerman '63, Mike Ross '63, John Santa '64 and Harvey Arnoff '64. "Connecticut Alpha was a campus leader and a great experience." Bob currently splits time between Naples, Fla., and Cheshire, Conn., with wife Carol. By 1986, Grand Junction's Watson Island in the Colorado River was a dumping ground and eyesore. Lions Club member Brian P. Mahoney '65 conceived a plan to purchase, clean, and develop the island into a public park with nature trails and a disc golf course. For his service and leadership, Brian received a lifetime achievement award from Lions Club International. Brian resides in Grand Junction, Colo.
