A premade outdoor fireplace, built
from a kit, can reach as high as $2,785
from a home improvement store.
"In the last eight or nine years, more
manufacturers are into more premade
fire pits and fireplaces. ey do the
guts of it. e form of it," Markley said,
"and it's really just figuring out what
treatment on the outside it needs to
be. Brick. Stone fireplace. Put that on
the outside of it, but the core is already
premade."

and design outdoor fireplaces and fire
pits on site. Depending on whether or
not these are custom built, a standard
wood-burning fire pit built in this
manner can average from $1,500 to
$3,600, according to Markley. Of
course, that depends on size, style and
any extra features that the property
owner so desires.
An outdoor fireplace, which is
more structured and can come with
a chimney or flue on it, can cost
from $8,000 to about $14,000, he
said: "Fireplaces are more expensive
because there's more involved with
