Chairmansspeaks peaks Join the Ambassador Team The Fayetteville- Cumberland County Chamber of Com- merce is gearing up for the selection process for the 2010-11 Ambas- sador Committee. Applications will be accepted through June 18, 2010. The Chamber encourages our members to get involved with the organization and the Ambassador Committee is one of the best ways to achieve that goal. Mission Statement The Ambassadors are the offi cial public rela- tions and welcoming committee of the Chamber. This committee is a membership outreach and retention program designed to involve and inform new members and retain existing members. Ambassadors are volunteers who, on behalf of the Chamber, make good will calls to encourage strong continuing membership and active support of all programs. Objective The Ambassadors are the frontline member representative for the Chamber. The Ambassador Committee has four main objectives: • Social Interaction - Ambassador will meet and greet current, new and prospective members at Chamber related social functions like Business After Hours and other corporate events. • Business Recognition - Ambassadors will participate in ribbon cutting ceremonies for members • Service Role - Ambassadors are the eyes and ears of the Chamber. They are encouraged to regularly visit existing members at the members’ place of business. The purpose of the visits is to provide personal interaction, feedback and sugges- tions to the Chamber. • Education Role - Ambassadors need to be familiar with the organizations programs, activi- ties and the Chamber staff in order to provide member-to-member education and information.
