Where Is the
Money Going?
A
lpha Delt has set a campaign goal of $5 million to
renovate the original 1921 Tudor chapter house,
demolish the 1969 addition, and build a new Tudor-style
addition to the chapter house in 2020. The funds raised in
the Many Hearts, One Hand campaign will be used for
design, permits, and equity to support a construction loan
and mortgage on the rebuilt facility.
New Tudor Addition
The Building Committee research
concluded that renovating the 1969
addition would cost nearly as much
as a new building without offering
any amenities.

The $5 million fundraising goal was established based off a
feasibility study conducted with our alumni. The $9 million
estimated cost for construction is higher than our fundraising
goal, but the board is comfortable moving forward with
some debt, knowing the rent generated and ongoing
contributions by alumni to the capital campaign will be used
to pay down the loan.
