Bikes Blues & BBQ started 19 years ago and has become the world's largest charity motorcycle rally benefitting women, children, and underserved members of the community. This year's event will be from September 25th – September 28th and on Friday, September 27th at 4:00 PM, bikers from all over the country will be gathering to devour Village Inn's finest pies in a pie-eating contest. Known for their delicious and impressive variety of pies, Village Inn has a flavor for everyone. There are the classic choices like Country Apple, Lemon Meringue, Peach Lattice, Cherry, Coconut Cream, and Strawberry Rhubarb. For those who prefer more decadent pies there is Caramel Pecan Silk Supreme, French Silk, Caramel Apple a La Mode, and the award-winning Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. They also offer seasonal favorites Key Lime and award-winning Southern Pecan, and their current featured pie is the Granny Smith Caramel Apple Crumble. Although the flavors for the pie eating contest have yet to be determined, everyone from the pie eating contest will be leaving a winner whether eating a little or a lot of Village Inn's premier pies. October is going to be another big month for Village Inn because the restaurant is rolling out a new menu option deal that is almost too good to be true. October 7th will be the debut of the Early Dinner Deal where you will be able to choose from an incredible select menu; an entrée, two sides, and choice of soup, salad, or slice of pie. The deal will be offered every day between 3:00 PM-6:00 PM and every menu item is less than ten dollars. The five featured Early Dinner Deals include Right-Size Chicken-Fried Steak, Slow Roasted Turkey, Smothered Chicken, Chicken Stir-Fry Skillet, and an Early Dinner Breakfast Skillet. For your sides you will have the choice between items like Fresh Coleslaw, Red Skin Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Cornbread Stuffing, and Fresh Broccoli. Of course, the meal wouldn't be complete without a heavenly slice of Triple Berry pie to top it all off.
