Phi Sigma Kappa 3 I am honored to have this opportunity to share the great strides our chapter has taken this past year. Since many of you were on campus during our last Homecoming, many new features have been added to Delta Triton, including our finished chapter room and fully outfitted basement. These new spaces have hosted numerous brotherhood events, and we are incredibly thankful for the generous sacrifices of Dave Franzman '80, who helped exponentially decrease the time required to finish these areas of the chapter house. Growing Our Philanthropic Efforts and Greek Bonds Beyond expanding our chapter house's presence, we set chapter records in philanthropic contributions. We placed second in donations for the Polar Plunge and set additional records at our Car Smash event, both benefitting the Indiana Special Olympics. We are planning new philanthropic events for the remainder of 2019 and 2020 semesters. While our presence in the community is felt, our presence on campus is no exception. We have created lasting bonds with numerous other fraternities and sororities and look forward to connecting with Phi Sigma Rho, who will be our football buddies for the fall 2019 semester. Diversity and Academics Top Priorities It gives me pride to mention that as our active chapter has grown so has our diversity, with brothers hailing from every corner of the globe, including Azerbaijan and Nicaragua. Purdue's Interfraternity Council has taken notice of our chapter's activity and scholastic excellence. We placed in the top 20 on campus with a 3.10 cumulative GPA and earned our place among the top chapters for reported service hours. As our brotherhood grows to record numbers, we have not and will not compromise our commitment to our cardinal principles of brotherhood, scholarship, and character. With Homecoming fast approaching and planning underway, I cannot help but express my excitement in seeing many of you this fall. This opportunity to create bonds between active brothers and alumni is paramount to us. We hope to see you there!
