august 11-17, 2019 What's up! 47 try these recipes Summer fruit smoothies Good-for-you treats in seconds for breakfast, snacks or dessert Blueberry, Banana, and Peanut Butter Smoothie Ingredients • 1 tablespoon flax seed meal or wheat germ • 1 banana • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries • 1 tablespoon peanut butter • 1 teaspoon honey • 1/2 cup plain yogurt • 1 cup milk Directions 1. Put ground flax seed meal or wheat germ into blender to grind and further breakdown. This will also eliminate any bitterness from the flax seed. 2. Place the banana, blueberries, peanut butter, honey, yogurt, and milk into the blender. Cover, and puree until smooth. Pour into glasses to serve. Rosy Ginger Peach Smoothie Ingredients • 1 fresh peach, sliced • 1 (6 ounce) container strawberry-flavored yogurt • 1/2 cup milk • 1/2 cup strawberries • 1 tablespoon honey • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger Directions 1. Place peach slices, yogurt, milk, strawberries, honey, and ground ginger in a blender; cover and blend until smooth. Raspberry Chocolate Smoothie Ingredients • 3/4 cup chocolate flavored soy milk • 3/4 cup chocolate sorbet • 1 1/4 cups fresh or frozen raspberries • 1/2 banana, peeled and sliced • 1 leaf fresh mint, chopped Directions 1.
