August 7, 2019 www.DesertMessenger.com 11 The Salvation Army happenings We have returned to our regular summertime schedule! Come in and see the wonderful redesign of our front porch. Thanks, Janet, for a wonderful job you did. We have several racks of half priced clothing for you to check out. " 'X' marks the spot for ½ off", is our new porch slogan. Janet has also been busy with reorganizing the toy and craft shelves. She is a busy young lady that we so appreciate. Craft magazines are now located in the magazine and book corner. We again this year have school backpacks and school supplies. We have supplies and packs year-round, please ask when items are needed. We had a large donation of adult choir robes. They are royal blue with a reversible cream or light blue collar. Sizes are adult small, medium and large. I would love to donate them to a church or school. Any ideas, please drop in and let's talk. Any ideas for a bike rack? We have many shoppers that ride their bikes to our store. Wouldn't it be nice if we had some type of maybe recycled functional metal sculpture that would allow bikes to be locked onto it? Suggestions and ideas are welcome. A reminder to please unload donations at the south porch sidewalk area. We have carts there for you. As a tax exempt recognized non-profi t, we can provide you with a tax receipt. Please request inside store. Remember we do take credit cards for your purchases, too. We do ask that fi fty and one hundred-dollar bills only be accepted only when your purchase is near that amount. Thanks. Don't always listen to people who tell you want to do. Listen to people who encourage you to do what you know in your heart is right. Be kind, be thoughtful, be genuine. Be happy.
