A comfortable view
of downtown

an McInnis doesn't worry about parking
when he goes to Fayetteville Woodpeckers
games. He lives within easy walking
distance of Segra Stadium and has a view
of it from his fourth-floor condominium
at ParkView Manor off Bragg Boulevard.
"You can't see the field," he said while standing on his
balcony, "but you can see the opposite stands."
e stadium wasn't even proposed in 2015 when McInnis
bought his unit. He fell in love with it for other reasons,
including its comfortable, open layout and its location on
the top floor of the building and overlooking downtown.
He'd just sold his dental practice and was thinking about
finding something easier than his large two-story home on
Rush Road.
"I wanted something with less upkeep so I wouldn't be
spending all that time on that and mowing," he said.
He also wanted something on one level.
e condominium, part of a larger luxury housing
project developed by his good friend Ralph Huff, more than
fit the bill.
At 2,400 square feet, the unit is spacious but lots smaller
than the 3,800-square-foot home that McInnis le behind.
Nonetheless, it easily accommodated most of his furniture.
"It really looks better here than it did in the other house,"
he said.
He did get rid of a set of furniture for a third bedroom.
And his pool table wouldn't fit so he donated it to the
building. It's now in a common room on the fourth floor.
