It took me several tries and lots of helpful tips from Jimmy Niles at Axes & X'es before I got an axe to stick in the target. It took me a couple of tries just to even wing the target with any part of the axe. But I still had fun. I mean, I was throwing an actual axe really hard at something and it was as legal as could be. And when my thrown axe sank into the wood of the target? Woohoo! I might not be the axe-throwing version of Arya Stark but I felt pretty darn tough. Lots of men are into axe-throwing, too, which made the subject a good one for this, our Men's Issue.
