I can do that. Not: Maybe. Not: Ask me later. Not even: I' ll think about it. But, instead: Yes, I can do that. e reply resounds throughout his life whether you're examining his upbringing, his 30 years in the military, his three tours of Vietnam, his 27 years as an educator, his countless years as a community volunteer or his life-long love of learning. You may recognize Wright as the gregarious greeter and house captain at Cape Fear Regional eatre, where at age 82 and in retirement he spends much of his time giving back to the city he says has given so much to him. His goal setting started early in his foundational years as he memorized Bible verses at church and lines in the numerous school plays in which he had a part. When the time came for career decisions, he looked no further than the success his uncle had found in the Air Force and he felt he could attain that in the military, too. With few finances for college in 1955, he had not considered Aria's & Artifacts "An American in Paris" Friday, 5:00 pm Lafayette Trail Tour with FILI Commander Bruce Daws Saturday, 9:00 am Tickets for both events at 910-678-8899 or online Friday, September 6th & Saturday, September 7th North Carolina's Official Lafayette Birthday Celebration Festival of Yesteryear Saturday, 10:00 am-5:00 pm FREE For complete details, visit www.LafayeeSociety.org French Wine Tasting Saturday, 6 pm-8:30 pm Free at The Wine Café
