KEEP ON LEARNING Soroptimist International Academic Scholarship Soroptimist International of Red Bluff is seeking applicants for four $500 academic scholarships. An eligibility requirement for this scholarship is a graduating senior from a high school in Tehama County who is registered and will attend college after graduation. Other eligibility requirements are good citizenship, good grades and financial need. Applications or more information can be obtained from any Soroptimist International of Red Bluff member or by contacting Nancy Shilts at 527-1921 or nshilts@att.net. Applications must be received by April 1. Maywood supports Corning High School Antelope scholarship The Antelope School District invites graduating high school seniors to apply for the Antelope School District Community Scholarship. This is the eighth year of the community scholarship. The district is prepared to give $3,000-$4000 in scholarships this year after a successful basket auction fundraiser last spring. Applicants must have graduated from Berrendos Middle School and attended Antelope district schools for at least five years. The applicant must be graduating from a public or private high school with a grade point average of 2.5 or above. The applicant must also be planning on attending a two or four year college, university, or trade school. The district is very proud of the education it has provided within the county and is happy to reward the top deserving students. Applications can be picked up from your high school counselor or printed on line from the district website which is on the "Antelope/Berrendos Booster Club" tab at www.antelopeschools.org. Applications should be turned into Antelope School on or before April 9. Red Bluff Union High School students Marissa Chase, Kyla Barriga Ashurst and Mayson Trujillo were nominated for Student of the Quarter with Trujillo selected. Mercy High School students Jessica Curl, Hailey Gao and Mahalee Gaumer were nominated with Gaumer selected. Nominees are selected by school staff and all nominees are interviewed prior to the selection.
