OUR PROUD HISTORY
S
ince 1961, our proud Eta Zeta Chapter history has been shaped by nearly
1,300 initiated men. Thanks to our firm no-hazing policy and decades
of academic excellence, Sigma Nu has an outstanding reputation among
Louisiana Tech and the Ruston community.
Many of our best college memories are traced back to our Sigma Nu
experience, which also served as the launching pad for our future success.
Our alumni have graduated to distinguished careers in business, engineering,
technology, and countless other endeavors. Through Sigma Nu, we
learned the importance of Love, Honor, and Truth, and we developed our
leadership, organizational, and social skills. These traits have been integral
to our personal success and helped make us the men we are today. The
crucible for all this learning and development is our chapter house at 809
West Mississippi.
Our house is the cornerstone of undergraduate life for Sigma Nu. It has
been a home away from home for hundreds of young men. It is a safe
place, providing a non-hazing experience where brothers grow to be ethical
leaders inspired by the principles of Love, Honor, and Truth.
On April 24, 2019, our chapter house suffered significant tornado damage.
For Sigma Nu to continue its strong presence on the Louisiana Tech campus,
we must rebuild to ensure we are providing a safe, modern, and competitive
facility. Now is the time to build on our legacy to secure our future.
