Hey kids! Summer is in full swing and here at
Official Kids Mag we are looking to the sky this
month. Did you know 50 years ago this month
the first man walked on the moon? Can you
imagine what an adventure that would be? Take
a trip to page 18 and find out about the first
man on the moon and the Apollo 11 mission.
You just might learn something!
We wondered what a trip to the moon might
be like, so we found a fun activity to share with
you – the NASA Survival on the Moon test on
page 48. It's a fun way to learn more about
the moon. You can challenge your friends and
figure out what the best things to bring to the
moon are.
At the Fayetteville library, we visited some kids having fun making
planets. Get out your art supplies and create your own planet. You could
win a party at Malco Theatre. Go check out the planets on page 36 and
get more information about how to win the planet contest and where to
send your planet.
While we were at the library, we got a great list of books about space
and the moon. The list of Kid's Pick books starts on page 10. Take a
trip to the moon without leaving your house. Check them out while you
have time over the summer.
Grab a healthy snack, kick back and get ready to explore space or get
started with the fun activity pages you'll find every month in Official Kids
Mag. Who knows, you just might learn something!
