feasibility study.
• Repeated phone or email messages (an average of five per alumna)
were left for 32 alumnae (14%) with no responses.
• 108 alumnae (47%) did not return a completed electronic survey.
• Pennington & Company attempted to locate five alumnae for whom
current contact information was not available.

interviews, participants received a pre-campaign feasibility study brochure,
gift chart (Appendix B) and an alumnae directory from their era.

3. Interview notes and reports were reviewed and analyzed.
4. Personal interviews were conducted with alumnae who live in the following
geographic areas: Flowood, Jackson, Olive Branch, and Oxford,
Mississippi; Blowing Rock, North Carolina; Brentwood, Eads, and
Franklin, Tennessee; Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Texas.
5. The findings were compared with results from other fundraising studies and
campaigns, and the differences and similarities were assessed.
6. Information and data were analyzed regarding previous giving histories,
including local and international giving records as available.
