I. Introduction
Pennington & Company is pleased to submit this report to the Pi Beta Phi Chapter House
Corporation. The report is in response to the request for a feasibility study to determine the
potential for a capital funds campaign of $3 million to renovate and expand the chapter
house at 642 Rebel Drive.
A. Primary objectives
1. Assess the readiness and willingness of the Mississippi Beta constituency
to support a fundraising effort.
2. Evaluate the dollar potential of a campaign and formulate
recommendations.
3. Begin a process that will inform, educate, and cultivate major gift prospects
for the campaign (pre-solicit major donors).
4. If feasible, develop a plan and recommendations for conducting a campaign.
B. How the study was conducted

meeting, wealth data mining, and prospect research. An additional four
alumnae were identified by interviewees and contacted to participate in the
study. An email survey was sent to an additional 131 prospects and insiders.
2. Of the 228 potential participants:
• 73 interviews (32%) were conducted.
o 31 interviews were conducted in person.
o 11 interviews were conducted by telephone due to location and
availability of the alumnae.
o 31 electronic surveys were completed and returned.
• Five alumnae (2%) declined to be interviewed.
