It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences." ~ Audre Lorde Uncooked PINEAPPLE DESSERT 1 8-oz package cream cheese (softened) 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup crushed pineapple (drained) 1 8-oz tub whipped topping, like Cool Whip Pie Crust 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup melted butter 20 graham crackers, crushed Topping 1/4 cup shredded coconut 1/4 cup diced pineapple (drained) In a medium mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese with an electric mixer until slightly fl uffy Gradually add the powdered sugar, and mix until well combined Mix in the whipped topping, and beat until fl uffy With a spatula, fold in the crushed pineapple, then set aside In a small mixing bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers, granulated sugar and melted butter until well combined, then, pat mixture into a 9x9 baking dish Spoon the fi lling over the crust, and smooth with spatula until even Sprinkle coconut, and diced pineap- ple, on top. Refrigerate for at least two hours, before serving. Please sign up today, the service is free. The Internal Revenue Service is never going to call you and ask for you to make a payment over the phone. They are never ever going to ask you to make a payment via gift card or wire transfer. Please keep this in mind if you receive a call from anyone asking for per- sonal information or payment over the phone. There are far too many people fall- ing for these scams and making payments to criminals. Don't let yourself, friends or loved ones be a victim. If someone calls you saying they're the IRS, APS or any other government/business and they're asking for payment of any kind over the phone, don't do it. Social Security offers video service to Blythe community Social Security is now offering an alternative service delivery option for residents of Blythe and surrounding areas. Visitors to Blythe City Hall, located at 235 N. Broadway, can conduct Social Security business direct- ly with a Social Security representative, live, on a secure video system. This video service site is a safe and convenient option and allows for face-to-face contact with a Social Security representative. It will be avail- able on Thursday and Friday of each week from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Most Social Security services do not require a visit to an offi ce. People may create their my Social Security account, a personalized online ser- vice, at www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount. Through their my Social Security account, people can check personal information and conduct business with Social Security. If they already receive Social Security benefi ts they can start or change direct deposit online, and if they need proof of their benefi ts, they can download their current Benefi t Verifi cation Letter from their account. People not yet receiving benefi ts can use their online account to get a personalized Social Security Statement, which provides earnings infor- mation as well as estimates of future benefi ts. California residents may request a replacement Social Security card online if they meet certain requirements. The portal also includes links to information about other online services, such as applications for retirement, disability and Medi- care benefi ts.
