SEE THE SIGHTS WHILE ZIPLINING You will feel like you are flying through the trees when you zipline in Branson. With many great places to choose from, such as Adventure Ziplines of Branson and Vigilante Extreme ZipRider at Shepherd of the Hills, it is not difficult to see why ziplining is a great way to spend the day outdoors. If you are looking for a lake view during your zipline, Parakeet Pete's Waterfront Zipline is the perfect choice. BRANSONBULLETIN BRANSONBULLETIN RIDE A MOUNTAIN COASTER You will experience the rolling hills of the Ozarks in a whole new way when you ride on a mountain coaster. The Runaway Mountain Coaster, Branson's first, uses gravity to pull you downhill and through two 360-degree loops over 5,000 feet of tracks. Race to the finish on North America's first double mountain coaster, The Branson Sawmill on Hwy. 76, where the tracks twist and turn so close you'd think you were going to collide! Get ready to be ogre-whelmed—Shrek's here! Shrek The Musical will delight audiences young and old at Welk Resort Theatre in Branson with the summer production of the hilarious fairy-tale adventure. The stage of the 2,300-seat theatre turns into a swamp with all the wonderfully- wacky residents from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and the animated film by DreamWorks. In turn, the story is loosely based on the 1990 fairy-tale picture book "Shrek!" by American cartoonist William Steig. Live on the stage is the big, green, bad-tempered ogre himself, and all the other catchy creatures -- Donkey, Pinnochio, the Gingerbread Man, Lord Farquaad, Princess Fiona, and the rest of the gang. The songs, written by the prolific composer Jeanine Tesori, are new and unforgettable. "We are so proud to be able to present a fantastic new production of Shrek the Musical," said Susan Smith, General Manager of Welk Resort Theatre. "It's something families will not want to miss." Look forward to more exciting entertainment when the theatre's production of the award-winning Million Dollar Quartet returns Aug. 29. This blockbuster musical hit is based on a true event arranged by Sam Phillips, known as the father of rock 'n roll. The show takes you inside the Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, for the history-making jam session with America's greatest icons. Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins are gonna rock the stage again at Welk Resort Theatre. Million Dollar Quartet is a happy blast from the past that will get your toes tapping. Visit welkresorts.com/branson-theatre or call 800-505-9355 for more information.
