IT'S TIME THE RETURN ON INVESTMENT HAS NEVER BEEN STRONGER Brothers, Phi Kappa Psi Texas Alpha is currently at 140 men, no that is not a typo. Through hard work, dedication, alumni involvement, and various efforts, Texas Alpha is once again making a name for itself on the UT campus. The fall '18 new member class brought 56 new men into the brotherhood, while the spring '19 new member class added an additional 14 new men. The young men are sharp, charismatic, gentlemen, and most importantly, determined. For the third semester in a row Texas Alpha has received Good Standing Recognition from UT's Sorority & Fraternity Life Office. Working extensively on implementing policies and guidelines within the different facets of chapter operations has been a primary focus of the chapter leadership this semester. I'd like to take the time to thank all those who helped make Founders Day 2019 a massive success, and as always, a fun and memorable experience for brothers young and old. During that event we had the opportunity to discuss our plans for our annual campaign and overall strategy moving into the future. Again, the entire purpose of this campaign is to get all alumni through all walks of life involved and contributing no matter the level. As John Heywood put it, "Many Hands Make for Light Work." As we continue to build a culture and atmosphere around sustainability and investment in the future, we are instilling in our undergraduate men the importance of giving back in perpetuity. We need the help of each and every alumnus to continue on the path and reach our long-term goals as a fraternity. To date, we are fortunate to have raised a little over $50,000 towards our annual campaign goal, but we are just getting started. Feel free to read through all of the additional materials in this edition of the Avalanche to learn more about the opportunity to give. In addition, keep an eye on your email inbox for more information, video testimonials, and updates as the campaign progresses.
