2A Daily News ��� Wednesday, February 27, 2013 Community people&events Siemens, Thompson to wed Dave and Carla Siemens of Red Bluff, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Siemens, to Brent Thompson, son of Bill and Vicky Thompson, of Columbus, Mont. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University, Michelle, a former Captain in the United States Army, served as an emergency nurse in the Army Nurse Corps. She was deployed to Iraq in 2010 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 28th Combat Support Hospital. Currently, Michelle is a full time graduate student at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., pursuing both a Masters in Public Health with a Global Health emphasis, and a Masters of Science in Nursing-Emergency Nurse Practitioner. Brent, a Captain in the United States Army, is a Judge Advocate in the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps and currently serves in the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Brent earned both a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a Justice emphasis from Montana State University in Bozeman, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University in Bloomington. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011-2012 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Armored Division, as their prosecuting attorney and operational law attorney.
