3 Lambda Chi Alpha Upholding Our Core Values UndergradUates set sights on recrUitment and academics T he spring semester started off great for Alpha-Delta Zeta as we ini- tiated 19 new members into our brotherhood. Our spring initiation ceremony also continued our tradition of holding initiation once a semester since our chartering. We look forward to seeing what our new members can accomplish during their time in the Chapter and at Missouri S&T. We set strong recruitment goals for summer and hope to recruit at least 25 new members for the fall semester. As of now, we have 12 highly interested men, and an excellent High Delta leading the charge. Aiming for Academic Excellence In the fall, our academic success took a bit of a step back from our previous semesters. The Chapter GPA fell to 2.93 with an active GPA of 3.03 and a new member GPA of 2.79. Though this was disappointing, it provided us an excellent opportunity to make improvements as a Chapter. We have also implemented new methods to track member GPA throughout the semester to ensure our members succeed academically. Changes Abound Several projects around the Chapter House have been completed this se- mester. First, the mural in Bert's Bunker was completed during winter break, and brothers are satisfied with the final product. In addition, a per- manent event stage was constructed by brothers Bradley Jones-Carlile '20, Jack DeRuntz '21, and Nick McCann '21. Our next big purchase for the Chapter House will be a refrigerator to allow our chef to have the full storage space in the kitchen. Thankful for Alumni Support Alpha-Delta Zeta looks forward to another great semester at Missouri S&T in the fall. We thank our loyal alumni for your support. On behalf of the Chapter, we invite you to visit your home at 1705 Pine Street, if you ever find yourself in the Rolla area, to meet the young men following in your footsteps.
