Zeta. As you examine how you would like to get involved, your monetary contributions are certainly welcome, as is your time or even just your words of encouragement. All will help to maintain a Chapter House and Brotherhood worthy of our legacy. In an effort to provide better lines of communication, we created a Gmail address passing from president to president whenever our leadership changes. Unfortunately, the address provided in the previous newsletter was confusing and raised many questions. As a result, I established a new address for the Alumni Association president, which can be found below. Please use this to communicate any questions, concerns, or notes of a job well done about the brothers helping to maintain an alumni presence with the Chapter. We look forward to you joining us on October 5 at our Homecoming Alumni Association meeting. Best wishes and good health to you all until next time. T he Alpha-Delta Zeta Housing Corporation and Alumni Association hope this spring issue of the Lambda Lamp finds you and your loved ones well. During the last few months, exciting things have been happening in your Chapter, and we imagine you will find them as thrilling as the Housing Corporation officers and board of directors do. At this year's St. Pat's alumni meeting, the Housing Corporation board of directors adopted a proposal to separate the duties of the Housing Corporation and a newly formed Alumni Association. The two organizations will serve different roles from one another but collectively provide the alumni engagement and Chapter House care previously undertaken by the Housing Corporation. More information about this can be found below. The goal is for the new organization to open doors for alumni involvement and better serve both our alumni and undergraduate brothers. While our capital campaign for Alpha-Delta Zeta has reached the end, your support of our undergraduate brothers is greatly appreciated. Not only have alumni provided generous financial support—to the tune of nearly $2.52 million—many have donated countless hours of time encouraging and mentoring our young brothers on their academic and fraternal journeys. With our new alumni organization, we have more opportunities to connect with our undergraduate brothers as well as other alumni of Alpha-Delta A t the 2019 St. Pat's House Corporation meeting, the Housing Corporation's board of directors voted to dissolve the old Housing Corporation organization and to re- place it with two separate entities focused on spe- cific roles in Chapter House upkeep and alumni post-collegiate fraternal engagement. In the new organizational structure, the Housing Corpora- tion is comprised of alumni focused on care and upkeep of the Chapter House, and the new Alum- ni Association will take on the role of fostering the post-collegiate Brotherhood experience. housing corporAtion officer positions restructureD With the new structure, we made changes to the officers and board of directors. The new Housing Corporation is comprised of the same four officer positions as previous: president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The board of directors changed drastically with only three directors be- ing elected to at-large positions, rather than the nearly 20 directors in the previous organization. With the formation of the new Housing Corpora- tion, the current officers will be retained until the end of their term at Homecoming 2020. How- ever, with the smaller alumni attendance at St. Pat's, we decided the new directors—who will help make financial and strategic decisions for the future of the Chapter House—will be elected at Homecoming. This gives you the opportunity to make your nominations for those roles. AluMni AssociAtion officers neeDeD With no nominations for Alumni Association of- ficers offered at the St. Pat's meeting, the board of directors voted to elect the former Housing Corporation officers as interim officers for the new Alumni Association. A permanent slate of officers will be elected at Homecoming with terms of three years. While these officers may be the same as the Housing Corporation, we highly encourage anyone who has an interest in grow- ing this alumni brotherhood role to nominate themselves for a position in the Alumni Associa- tion. The board of directors also voted to shift the old slate of directors from the Housing Corpora- tion over to serve as directors in the new Alumni Association. These directors will be elected an- nually for a three-year term, just as previously done for the Housing Corporation. Will you help us shAre inforMAtion? The interim officers are laying the foundation for the Alumni Association and the future association officer elections during Homecoming. In the next few months, we will reach out to alumni brothers across the U.S. to serve as focals to flow informa- tion to and from the Chapter and alumni and to help coordinate alumni engagement opportuni- ties.
