The Lion & The Ladybug 2 Hospitals Impact Award. On February 25, members from our National Council and the M3 Foundation traveled to Oxford, Miss., to celebrate Alpha Delta's fourth consecutive year as the highest fundraising chapter for the Phi Mu Foundation's M3 Campaign. Alpha Delta has continued to excel academically at the University of Mississippi. The fall 2018 cumulative Chapter GPA was 3.296. Overall, we moved up in the Greek organization rankings and are now ranked fourth among Panhellenic, IFC, and NPHC. Last semester, we raised $10,536 during our second annual Milkshakes for Miracles. During this event we sold chocolate and vanilla milkshakes for just $3! On February 5, we hosted Cheesin' for the Children benefitting Le Bonheur Children's Miracle Network Hospital. We raised $11,130 by selling grilled cheese, tomato soup, and nachos. On February 16, several of our sisters participated in RebelTHON dance marathon and raised over $12,000 for Batson Children's Hospital. Philanthropy Chairman Elizabeth McCutcheon '17 states: "Le Bonheur and CMN Hospitals hold such a special place in my heart, I'm so excited to give back to the place that has given so much to my family. We hope to see our alumnae at our eighth annual 'BonnaMU' on April 11." Alpha Delta welcomed 120 women home this past September during formal recruitment. This spring, we had the opportunity to offer 10 amazing women spring bids. Membership Director Sarah Jent '17 explained: "Our Chapter is already preparing for the upcoming formal recruitment in fall 2019. We can't wait to meet every girl going through recruitment!" This semester we will be inviting various NPHC and CPH chapters to dinner to create a stronger bond of Greek organizations on our campus. I attended the first-ever Fraternal Leadership Experience retreat in Florence, Miss., from January 18-20 with all Greek organization presidents to discuss, reflect, and plan on changes and issues on our campus regarding Greek organizations. Personally, it was an eye-opening experience. Greek life on our campus and in the nation is rapidly changing, and I am excited to see that Ole Miss is actively pursuing the positive, progressive movement toward a truly enriching experience. Our goal as chapter presidents is to be committed to our community to change the culture. Eight members attended the Ole Miss Pulse Conference catered toward discovering who they are as leaders and how they can improve those leadership skills. Brooke Roberts '17 reflects: "Pulse gave me the opportunity to learn how to lead in all aspects. Not just in organizations and classes, but with my peers in groups." Alpha Delta is elated to say our over 350 sisters are involved in other organizations on campus, including Columns Society, Student Activities Association, and Mortar Board to name a few. This semester we have seven members holding internships and six members studying abroad. Charlotte Shackleford '16 is serving as the Chairman of Committee of Governmental Operations for the Associated Student Body. Twelve members of Pledge Class '15 were honored with the Who's Who Award. They were selected out of the entire Ole Miss senior class for their exceptional academics, involvement, and leadership. Parent's and Alumnae Weekend was held on April 12-14. We are beyond grateful for the continued support and guidance of our alumnae. Our Chapter's ongoing success would not be possible without the assistance and encouragement of the Alpha Delta alumnae. Phi Mu Alpha Delta has continued to be dedicated to creating women who are prepared to be successful professionals. We sincerely appreciate the extended support of our alumnae. If you are ever in the Oxford area, please reach out to join us for lunch or dinner and a house tour. We know our actives and Mr. Willie would be thrilled to see each and every one of you!
