U.S. Department of Justice, Of- fice of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance has made available funding under the Ed- ward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. This program futhers the De- partment’s mission by assisting state, local and tribal efforts to prevent or reduce crime and vio- lence. The County of Tehama is eligible and has been approved to receive from JAG a direct award of $23,636.00 under this program. Funding may be used for six purpose areas, which ad- dress a wide variedly of activi- ties.
