Building on Excellence at 1611 College T heta Gamma House Corporation has developed a plan to add space to the existing chapter house. The primary purpose of this large addition is to provide a study area for our chapter members. During the fall and spring, this space will also serve as a practice room for Sooner Scandals and University Sing. We are fortunate to have a wonderful, large chapter house, but the women need this additional study and practice area. The House Corporation's number one responsibility is the safety of our members. This new room will be ICC 500 certified and serve as a safe room in event of high winds or tornadoes. The project will focus on three main areas: Build an addition to the current chapter house, which will primarily serve as additional study area. The downstairs portion will be built using safe room standards. It will connect to the current dining room and extend west. Build a second story above the new study space. This will provide four additional bedrooms, an improved president's room, additional small study rooms, and an additional bathroom.
