ENTRE NOUS 2 dealing with a lot of the administrative duties that come with running a business — tasks like accounting and payroll are not my most favorite but I've learned a lot and am now quite an expert at Quickbooks! WHAT'S YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT? Definitely being a mom, the best and hardest job I've ever had. My daughter is now 10 and I love watching her change and grow. I also try to be a good role model for her. She's already following in my entrepreneurial footsteps and has started a small business with a friend. WHAT IMPACT HAS PI PHI HAD ON YOUR LIFE AND CAREER? I have lifelong friends because of Pi Phi. Although we all live in different places and have very busy lives, we make time to connect and be there for one another. Fun fact: When I lived in Washington, D.C., after college, I didn't know anyone so I joined a Pi Phi alumnae group. I met a woman who introduced me to a fellow Trojan who ended up offering me a job back in Los Angeles when I wanted to move back there. It's about putting yourself in new situations to make connections that may lead to something. HOW DO YOU STAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR CAL GAMMA SISTERS? ere is a group of seven of us that take a trip every year and a half. We've been to Napa, the Florida coast, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Santa Fe and most recently Nashville. ey're all such amazing women and we seem to pick back up right where we left off every time we get together. WHAT WOULD YOUR CAL GAMMA SISTERS BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? As a lifelong dog lover, I surprise myself by how much I love my cat. My daughter always wanted a cat. I wasn't sure I wanted one since I had no experience, but I love our cat Maizy, who in fairness acts like a dog. GREATEST ADVICE? Value relationships. Whether it is colleagues, friendships, or family, they can each add value to your life in all different ways. Want to connect with Jennifer? You can reach her at jennifer@jsastrategies.com. TRADITION. SUPPORT. FRIENDSHIP.
