"My advisor was an excellent role model. She showed me how Delta Gamma truly is more than just the four years in college. I also grew a new appreciation for advisors when I was a collegiate development consultant. Working closely with the advisors and collegiate members gave me a passion for giving back to Delta Gamma." Joining Delta Gamma has given her some of her best friends. "ΔΓ made me feel like I had a place to belong when I started college and helped me grow into the person I am today. The sisterhood provides members with leadership opportunities and experiences that are cherished for a lifetime." Sam affirms Delta Gamma creates a space where members can become the best versions of themselves. "As president of Mu Chapter I got to attend Convention and this was one of the most memorable moments in my Delta Gamma experience. I got to meet many women from all around and make connections that I would have never been able to before Delta Gamma." In her spare time, Sam loves being with family and friends, spending time outdoors, and traveling. Connect with Sam via email at samanthaleighreyes07@gmail.com. Sam Reyes, Mu '11: Honor Board Advisor A manda Johnson, Gamma Upsilon '13 was initiated at Wichita State. When Amanda moved to Kansas City, the former ATC of Beta Kappa reached out to her about opportunities to advise. She accepted the Membership Advisor role because she loved recruitment as a collegian and saw an opportunity to grow the chapter and its legacy. Amanda wanted to empower the ΔΓ sisterhood and attract women who would honor the Chapter's values. "Delta Gamma celebrates each individual and welcomes women to come in as who they are. Our sisterhood praises our diversity and makes me proud to advise recruitment." One of Amanda's most memorable moments as an advisor was during recruitment week. "The recruitment team and I were exhausted after sisterhood night. The freshman class came down and presented us with a handwritten card. To our surprise, it included a Starbucks gift card for each of us. It was sweet to feel immense appreciation during the craziness of recruitment!" In Amanda's spare time she is a passionate home cook and enjoys traveling. Connect with Amanda via email at amandasunjohnson@gmail.com.
