In Search of Good Men Send Your Recruitment Recommendations D o you know of a young man planning on attending Iowa State next fall who would be a good addition to our membership? If so, please send his name and contact information to the recruitment chairmen below� Gunnar Maddock: (630) 995-1979, gmad@iastate�edu Patrick John Allen: (816) 210-6017, jpallen@iastate�edu Theta Chi was blessed to eat dinner with and listen to Iowa State's very own president, Wendy Wintersteen, and her husband Robert Waggoner. We celebrated Dad's Weekend and a win for the Cyclones. Mom's Weekend was a blast for all with an amazing attendance. I am honored to be elected into this position and I am going to work hard to make Theta Chi the best it possibly can� With that being said, I would like to give you a brief report on what is going on in our chapter and our recent achievements� Although we did not do as well as we wanted in academics for the fall 2018 semester, we still ended with a 3�05 GPA, which puts us 11th among all fraternities at Iowa State� I know this is lower than past semesters, but we strive to bring our GPA back up to a 3�2 or above� We are working hard with all of our members, keeping each accountable for our academics, to make sure we achieve an even better GPA for the spring semester� We recently pledged three men who have decided they want to join our brotherhood, and we are already looking at a good-sized fall class� We are focusing a lot of time on recruitment, knowing that these are the men who will lead our chapter� All of our hard work is going to pay off� Our officers and members are working hard to make sure Theta Chi is in the best state it has ever been in� We want to make a lasting impression and set up Alpha Mu for greatness� I know I have a big job ahead of me, but I am excited to take this job head-on with some of my closest friends� It truly is a great time to be Theta Chi, and I am honored to call these guys my brothers� Sincerely, Joshua Wankel '21 Chapter President Alpha Mu Aims to Make an Impression Chapter Focuses on Academics and Recruitment Spring 2019 New Members
