o you know of a young man planning on attending Iowa State
next fall who would be a good addition to our membership? If
so, please send his name and contact information to the recruitment

Theta Chi was blessed to eat dinner with and listen
to Iowa State's very own president, Wendy
Wintersteen, and her husband Robert Waggoner.
We celebrated Dad's Weekend and a win for the Cyclones.
Mom's Weekend was a blast for all with an amazing attendance.
I
am honored to be elected into this position and I am going to work
hard to make Theta Chi the best it possibly can With that being said,
I would like to give you a brief report on what is going on in our chapter
and our recent achievements
Although we did not do as well as we wanted in academics for the fall
2018 semester, we still ended with a 305 GPA, which puts us 11th
among all fraternities at Iowa State I know this is lower than past
semesters, but we strive to bring our GPA back up to a 32 or above We
are working hard with all of our members, keeping each accountable for
our academics, to make sure we achieve an even better GPA for the
spring semester
We recently pledged three men who have decided they want to join our
brotherhood, and we are already looking at a good-sized fall class We
are focusing a lot of time on recruitment, knowing that these are the
men who will lead our chapter All of our hard work is going to pay off
Our officers and members are working hard to make sure Theta Chi
is in the best state it has ever been in We want to make a lasting
impression and set up Alpha Mu for greatness I know I have a big job
ahead of me, but I am excited to take this job head-on with some of my
closest friends
It truly is a great time to be Theta Chi, and I am honored to call these
guys my brothers
Sincerely,
Joshua Wankel '21
