THE ZETA CHI PIKELINE ZETA CHI CHAPTER OF PI KAPPA ALPHA AT MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY The Branson Legacy (Continued from page 1) utilize his degree, moved into the mortgage in- dustry, and has been working in that field for the last 26 years. As a father, Todd imagined his sons would follow in his footsteps with the fraternity. ose hopes came closer to reality when the alumni associa- tion was formed to have Zeta Chi return to cam- pus. "I must admit I thought of my sons and was hopeful that one of them might want to be a Pike at MSU. My oldest son, Connor, went to a college where there were no Pike chapters and pledged as a leader in Phi Gamma Delta. It came down to Cooper Branson '17 and his decision to attend MSU and pledge as a Pike." Todd and Cooper talked about college and the fraternity experience for hours at a time while traveling for his com- petitive baseball team. "During his senior year in high school, Coop told me he wanted to go to MSU and pledge Pike. One summer weekend, we were given a tour of the house and spent an hour talking about what Pikes were doing on campus and how he could make a difference. at visit summed up everything for Cooper. He was ready to start his freshman year and pledge Pike." A moment that Todd will forever cherish was Cooper's Initiation. "e chapter leadership al- lowed my brother, Lonnie Branson '85, and me to be involved in Cooper's Initiation ceremony and it was one of the best moments of my life and is something I will always remember. I hope that experience for Cooper can someday lead to an- other Branson carrying the Zeta Chi torch for Pi Kappa Alpha." Todd admits his only regret is the short time he had as an undergraduate. His advice to undergraduates is to make the most of every moment during your time in school so you can reap the benefits in the future."
