GET DIRTY, MUDDY, WET,
CLEAN AND HAVE FUN ALL
IN ONE MORNING
Kids ages 5-12 are invited to try the Third
Annual Obstacle Runaround Race at the
Jones Center on May 8. Some of the 10+
obstacles in this race include a mud run, a
slip n' slide, a tire run and even an army
crawl. This looks like real fun!
Meredith, at the Jones Center says "This
is a fun way to kick off an active summer."
Race starts will be staggered by ages. Kids
who are 5-8 will start at 9:00am; and 9-12
year olds will start at 9:30. Each kid will
receive an Obstacle Runaround sweatband
for signing up and running.
Last year there were 150 kids who
participated by going through more than
10 different course segments. So far they
have 40 signed up, and will accept racers
until the day before, May 7. Get down
there and register for a good time.
This event came about two years ago
when the folks at the Jones Center were
looking for something different and fun for
the kids to do. Kids, grab your adult and
come join the fun.
