We were surprised by current "AA," Aaron Otto '98, who awarded us with six programming awards, and another President's Cup! This was our third President's Cup award in the last four years, which marks our organization as one of the top with Delta Chi Internationally. In addition, we awarded our undergraduates with academic scholarships at the barbecue. We are always thankful for our scholarships, which would not be possible without the perpetual effort of our educational foundation and our hardworking alumni. ALUMNI CONTINUE TO INSPIRE UNDERGRADUATES In September, the chapter had the distinct privilege of welcoming 45 alumni back to Manhattan for our annual Founder's Day Banquet where Kansas Lieutenant Governor Tracey Mann '00 gave the keynote speech. We love reconnecting with alumni and hearing about why Delta Chi is so special to you. We are so lucky to have alumni that dedicate time to advise and support us from around the country. We owe so much of our success to alumni! GREEK COMMUNITY AND CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT In October, we partnered with Alpha of Clovia and Zeta Tau Alpha for this year's Homecoming week. The theme was Little Apple, Big Entertainment. Our pairing finished first in pant the chant, second in float, and placed in many of the week's other events. Overall, we finished in second place among the Greek pairings with our amazing partners and continued to improve our relations with the K-State Greek community. In November, we initiated 21 new men into the brotherhood of a lifetime, raising our chapter to a strong 72 active brothers. We were also fortunate to have nine of our brothers elected to serve as members in the Student Governing Association. GIVING BACK IN THE COMMUNITY We wrapped up the semester by hosting our fourth annual Hoops for Hope charity basketball tournament with Alpha Delta Pi. We had celebrity endorsements from Jim O'Heir, Paul Rudd, and coach Bruce Weber. Through this amazing event we were able to raise more than $3,500 for the V Foundation for cancer research. Coach Weber also allowed us to play our championship game at halftime of a home game. We are lucky to have had his support for the last four years. We ended the calendar year by partnering with local Manhattan schools to provide Christmas gifts for families in the Manhattan area. We cannot wait to continue building on the great traditions that we have at Kansas State. SUPPORTING THE CHAPTER'S FUTURE We would like to thank the House Corporation and the alumni for their support of the capital campaign. With your support, we can enhance our living accommodations and build the future of Delta Chi at Kansas State. As members of the undergraduate chapter, we know the need for this project. Therefore, we are giving $50,000 from Chapter Dues to the capital campaign to support the future of Delta Chi. With your help and support, we will secure the future of Delta Chi at Kansas State.
