page 2 cumulative chapter GPA of 3.32. Academic Chairman Caroline Weaver '17 has highlighted new resources for our members to use and is very excited to see where these advancements take us in the coming term. PHILANTHROPY We are looking forward to our advancing our programming with St. Jude and their mission to end childhood cancer. Our members are in the process of scheduling a fall break trip to the hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, while finding new ways to raise donations for the organization. SISTERHOOD One aspect I am striving to improve on within the chapter is our bond of sisterhood. We have many ideas in the works and have even put some of them into place, including a tie-dye sisterhood event and a monthly movie night for all new member classes. These four years go by so quickly and we hope to take advantage of every moment as collegiate members. We send you all our Delta Love and hope you visit the chapter house soon! F or this semester's alumna spotlight, Theta Omega looked to a former class about their experience as collegiate members of Delta Delta Delta, and how being in the chapter affected their lives post-graduation. Penny Kozeny '73 shared about her time as a collegian Tri Delta and the bond her class has had over the years. With a tight- knit group of 38 women, the class of 1973 grew inseparable through tradition. Every Christmas, the chapter would host a formal in which members would invite their significant others to the chapter house for a night of music and fun. "My Tri Delta sisters would prepare stockings filled with treats and small gifts for their boyfriends and give them out the night of the event. How sweet! The tradition didn't stop after college. We've continued to meet every year for a potluck dinner, and maintain close relationships with nearly everyone in our class." Penny made sure to highlight the dedication to planning these events made by sister Pat Domann '73. The events even grew to destination trips during milestone years for the women to bond and reconnect. For the 10-year anniversary, alumnae visited the chapter house and had a sleepover. They reminisced while allowing their children and family members to experience the chapter facility as well. The class of '73 also went to Lake of the Ozarks to celebrate their 20th anniversary. "We now plan an annual potluck in March, and also welcome the two classes above and below us to join." The dedication these women have not only to the chapter, but their class is amazing, and is something current members aspire to. "One of things that brought the our classes so close was living in the house," Penny said. "I was saddened to hear that not everyone can live in their junior year as that was how everyone really got to know their moms and littles. Having a set plan to meet annually while still in college is key, and to make sure it's something members would be interested in doing. I think just being there for your sisters in major life moments, such as bridal showers and weddings, is very important. Going through life with your Theta Omega sisters is truly an unforgettable experience, and I am thankful for it every day." You can contact Penny at pkpenelope8@gmail.com.
