Betty Grist Johnson '59 celebrated her 80th birthday last year with her four sisters.
She is enjoying retirement with her family—nine grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren with the fourth on its way. Betty enjoys sewing with her church group,
making quilts for the Lutheran World Relief. She and her husband, Harold, live in
Oxnard, Calif.
Janice Nelson Goetze '65 is loving the retired life in Scottsdale, Ariz., with her
husband, Bruce. After 39 years of service to children with hearing and/or vision loss,
Janice has time to play with her five grandchildren in the area, as well as travel and
paint. "If you travel to Scottsdale, look me up!"
Jennifer Robb Beck '99 left the legal field after 15 years as a legal assistant. She
is now working in admissions and events at Central Christian Academy. Email:

Alicia Schwindt Vincent '05 and her husband, Robert, live in Topeka, Kan., with their
1-year-old daughter, Emma Marie. Alicia acquired her LSCSW in February 2018 and
started a position with Stormont Vail as a licensed clinical therapist last July. Email:
