Applications for both Markets are available now. Applications are available at the Chamber office and on our website www.redbluffchamber.com. Our Red Bluff Chamber Farmers Markets will continue to be part of the EBT Program (Electronic Benefits Transfer Program). We are confident that this will continue to enhance our Farmers Market and will help growers increase their sales. Registration and Daily Rental fees will be the same as last year. Registration for the 2013 Chamber Farmers��� Market Season will be $50. Late Registration starts May 31, and the fee is $75. Applications must be turned in with a copy of your Certified Producer���s Certificate from the Ag Department if you are a farmer, and clearance from Environmental Health if you are selling baked/cooked goods. Saturday Morning Markets start June 1 and continue through Sept. 28. Vendor stall daily rates for Saturday Markets are $10 for regular stalls (12���), and $15 for oversize stalls (up to 20���). Season Passes for Saturday Markets are $150 for regular stalls, and $225 for oversized stalls. Wednesday Night Markets start June 19 and continue through Sept. 11, which is one more market than last year. Vendor stall daily rates for Wednesday Markets are $15 for regular stalls (12���), and $25 for oversize stalls (up to 20���). Season Passes for Wednesday Markets are $165 for regular stalls, and $265 for oversized stalls. Red Bluff Round-Up Parade It's Red Bluff Round Up Parade time again. This year's parade theme is Women of the West. Entry forms for the 58th Annual Red Bluff Round Up Parade, which takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April are now available at the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce office at 100 Main St. and online at www.redbluffchamber.com. Please sign up online with your script. The entry fee for the parade is $25, free for all Pooper Scoopers, with a deadline of April 1. Applications must have a script to be accepted. The Red Bluff Round Up Parade is proudly sponsored by The Gold Exchange and will feature 100-125 entrants, including bands, floats, classic cars, horses, public officials, rodeo queens and children. First and second place trophies will be awarded in more than 25 categories, while Sweepstakes Trophies are up for grabs for Best Band, Best Equestrian Unit and Best Depiction of Theme. Following the theme, Women of the West, the parade will honor Una Jordan as the Grand Marshall this year. Pension fund to divest from firearms SACRAMENTO (AP) ��� California���s largest public pension system has approved divesting from companies that make guns and high-capacity ammunition magazines that are illegal in the state. State Treasurer Bill Lockyer made the motion Tuesday as a board member of the California Public Employees��� Retirement System. Lockyer had requested a review of CalPERS��� investments after it was revealed that the state teachers��� retirement fund invested in the owner of a company that manufactured one of the weapons used in the Connecticut school shooting. Dave Gowan, the CEO at the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce, was among the 20 chamber executives to graduate Feb. 8 from Academy, a professional development program presented by the Western Association of Chamber Executives. Academy is an interactive 3-year training program on chamber management essentials designed for today���s chamber executives and staff professionals. "We congratulate all of the graduates and their chambers for having the vision to invest in professional development," said association President Dave Kilby. During the three-year Academy program, graduates participated in 18 three-hour classes and successfully completed additional independent study outside of the classroom. The association of chamber of commerce executives and staff professionals is designed to promote and enhance professional development. With about 800 members from 15 western states, it is the largest state or regional association of chamber of commerce executives in the United States.
