DING, DING, DING
Love Has Made Us What We Are
F
rom the late 1960s and into the 1980s, Tri Deltas, along with
various fraternities, sang a catchy jingle called Ding, Ding,
Ding. One of our alumnae in Oklahoma City, Eileen Paternostro '84,
decided it would be fun to sing this song to the chapter at the end of
alumnae night in August. Eileen verified the words and had small note
cards printed and laminated. As we sang this jingle, we discovered
that one of the authors of these words, Susan Gunderson Wise '65,
was sitting in the front row, accompanied by her daughter, Amy Wise
Harrell '90, and her granddaughter, Hannah Harrell '16, the current
song chairman at the chapter.
Susan, along with several of her pledge sisters, including Marca
Downing Floyd '65 and Debby Downing Goodman '65, wrote these
words while they were on their walkout.
