T he brothers of Delta Nu have been at hard work to make our 2019 spring semester a memorable one for the chapter. Academics We set a goal for an overall chapter GPA of 3.00 to close out our spring 2019 semester and are on track. Scholarship Chairman Mohammed Bouk- sheem '18 has set academic initiatives in place to increase our GPA. e chapter has implemented more study hours, grade checks, and tutoring for brothers who may be struggling. Recruitment Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather, UND was shut down for most of recruitment week. James Langfeld '19 has been taking the lead on recruitment this semester and has placed emphasis on what we call "365 Recruitment." With 365 Recruitment, we are not limited to re- cruiting during the UND recruitment week alone, but are able to bring new people into the chapter throughout the year. We have been hosting re- cruitment events to meet new potential members. Community Engagement e brothers have zoned in on the Grand Forks and UND community. To model our dedication to the community, we have committed time to volunteering at the Special Olympics this semes- ter. roughout the university, our brotherhood has been making an impact by serving in leader- ship roles on campus. Safe Kids Program e highlight of our community service efforts will be Safe Kids Day, which is our largest philan- thropic event for the semester.
