F
ood is always a big festival draw, from corn dogs to kettle corn to roasted-corn-
on-the-cob, from funnel cakes to fried Oreos to frozen fruity ices, from falafel to
barbecue to sausage dogs to giant turkey legs – and so much more.
But last year saw the introduction of an event that put some fancy into the notion
of festival food. Cork & Fork is a limited-attendance evening featuring small bites from area
chefs and wine, as well as entertainment, a raffle and door prizes. It will be held at Festival
Park from 6-9 p.m. on ursday, April 25, the eve of the Dogwood Festival's public opening.
Tickets are $40. e event raises funds for KidsPeace Foster Care Children's Fund.
