But brunch, in this city halfway between their homes, at a restaurant chosen based on glowing online reviews, was the first order of business. e women tucked into towering slices of berry- bedecked French toast, crisp rashers of bacon and bowls of fruit with lemon curd and pronounced it all to be delicious. It was a lovely, leisurely, tasty start to the day. And that's the whole point of this amalgamation of breakfast and lunch. You can serve brunch at home but that means preparation time – and cleanup. So it's worth considering that brunch with all the trimmings, including fancy drinks, is available at a number of local restaurants every weekend.
