the end of the ride, the riders
compare their hands and the
best and worst hands both
receive cash prizes. In addition
to the motorcycle ride, the
event has door prizes, food, and
all the proceeds go to benefit
Arkansas Children's Hospital.
Decatur Parks
e city of Decatur has
several local parks for residents
and visitors to enjoy the
outdoors with family and
friends. Veteran's Park has a
walking track, playground
area, barbecue pits, stage for
entertainers, a disc golf course
that runs through Edmiston
Park, and is also the site for
the annual Decatur Barbecue.
Edmiston Park includes the
disc golf course, as well as
a playground, soccer field,
baseball fields, basketball
court, and pavilion. Old
City Park has a swimming
pool, tennis court, basketball
court, horseshoe pits, gazebo,
playground, and bandstand.
Royce Johnson Memorial Park
has a playground, pavilion,
and picnic tables. McCollum
Memorial Picnic Area is located
between Edmiston and Veteran's
Park and has picnic tables and
grills perfect for events or get-
togethers with family
and friends.
The historic 1910 Decatur Depot is only one of a few that sits along a
mainline railroad. The Kansas City Southern Bell passenger train stopped
