Gravette Day Gravette Day is the annual event the town holds to celebrate its founding in 1893. It is held the second week of August every year in Kindley Park, and features fun for the whole family. e event features food, games, vendor booths, a classic car show, parade, pageants, pancake breakfast, live music, a Dutch oven cook-off, and more. is year's coming theme will be "Making Memories" as the town celebrates its 126th event. Gravette Day is not only for residents of the community as it draws in thousands of people from all around the area to join in the celebration. Smoke on the Border Barbecue Cookoff Smoke on the Border Barbecue Cookoff is an event sponsored by the Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce, and will be entering its third year this year. e increasingly popular event invites teams from Arkansas and its surrounding states to the barbecue cook-off to compete for prize money and, of course, bragging rights. e event includes People's Choice, where visitors can sample each barbecue dish and then vote for their favorite, and the Kid's Que Burger competition where young chefs can try their hand at hamburgers. Whether you want to try your hand at grilling or just want to taste some of the best barbecue across four states, this event promises to be fun for everyone. Pop Allum Park Gravette's Pop Allum Park is an impressive 22 acres that hosts all of Gravette's local baseball and soccer teams and leagues. A significant part of what makes Gravette an impressive part of the area is the strong community behind it. e citizens of the town are proud of where they live and this is evidenced by the dedication and effort they put back into the city. Anyone passing through Gravette, whether for a short or long time, will instantly experience the town's classic hometown feeling.
