3 Sigma Chapter of Delta gamma * NorthweSterN UNiverSity H i everyone! My name is Olivia Winn '17, and I am the new collegiate president for Sigma at Northwestern University. It has been a whirlwind couple of months here in Evanston. Most exciting is that a month ago we welcomed a new member class of 29 incredible women! From new member activities to philanthropy events to a fun winter date night, 2019 has been off to a great start for Delta Gamma. Sigma has continued our strong academic performance, continuing to be ranked as one of the top-performing chapters here at Northwestern. We had seven members recently receive the lamp of knowledge for maintaining a 4.0 GPA for the quarter. We continue to host study sessions in the house and in the library with our sisters. From our annual flag football tournament Anchor Bowl to our Tactile Valentines crafts-making event to our upcoming fundraiser Delta Grub (where we take over our kitchen and make endless grilled cheese and tater tots for Northwestern students), we've been taking our motto "Do Good" to heart here. Our collegians and alumnae in the area have passionately been raising money for Service for Sight and the Delta Gamma Foundation, along with pursuing other service opportunities on Northwestern's campus like our Dance Marathon event. As our past vp: membership, I can confidently say that Sigma had an incredible recruitment season this January. We welcomed 29 amazing new women into our chapter, the largest new member class on Northwestern's campus! Our vp: membership education, Talia Hendel '17, is hard at work welcoming these women in and teaching them all about what it means to be a Delta Gamma. We love them already! With officer transitions complete and another successful recruitment under our belt, Sigma is looking forward to all that 2019 will bring. We want to thank our alumni for their continued support; please stop by our chapter house to visit whenever you are in the area!
