(1966) Including Segal, every star of Mike Nichols' film of the Edward Albee play was Oscar-nominated, with Elizabeth Taylor and Sandy Dennis eventually winning. "No Way to Treat a Lady" (1968) This stylish melodrama casts Segal as a detective on the trail of a serial killer (Rod Steiger). "Where's Poppa?" (1970) Director Carl Reiner's famously offbeat comedy stars Segal as a lawyer who wants his meddling mother (Ruth Gordon) out of the way. "A Touch of Class" (1973) Glenda Jackson won an Oscar for it, but an amusing, charming Segal is just as much a factor in the success of this sophisticated comedy about the affair of an American family man and a British divorcee. "Blume in Love" (1973) Segal is marvelous in Paul Mazursky's comedy-drama as a divorce lawyer trying to win back his ex-wife (Susan Anspach). "The Terminal Man" (1974) A grim Segal stars in Michael Crichton's story of a scientist whose seizure-controlling brain implants may start new trouble for him. "Fun With Dick and Jane" (1977) Segal and Jane Fonda have fun, indeed, as a suddenly employed aerospace engineer and his wife who turn to robbery to maintain their lifestyle.
