A periodic pause—to reflect on its history and envision its future—is important for any organization. For the Purdue Chapter of Sigma Nu, however, we must take unprecedented steps to ensure our nearly 130-year history of ac- complishment, brotherhood, honor, and tradition is preserved, and our legacy continues. We are at a crossroads: a time when we as BZ alumni must decide what the future of Sigma Nu at Purdue will hold. We ask you to consider those who follow and join your alumni brothers in an ef- fort we believe will secure this legacy for years to come. As alumni of Sigma Nu, we have a responsibility to provide future genera- tions the same opportunity we enjoyed—the Beta Zeta experience. We must commit to the following: Housing Our chapter house has been the focus of undergraduate life for Sigma Nu at Purdue for nearly 130 years. 268 Littleton and 1301 Our bright future Tower Drive have been a home away from home for hundreds of young men and a classroom where our brothers have grown intel- lectually, spiritually, physically, socially, and morally. If we wish for Beta Zeta to continue its strong presence on the Purdue campus, we must ensure that we are providing a safe, modern, and com- petitive facility. Scholarship Purdue University is as academically challenging as ever, and Beta Zeta must have the foresight and ability to support our undergrad- uate members in their fraternal and academic endeavors. Such scholarship support will also enable us to recruit and retain the best and brightest young men entering Purdue University. Leadership, Values, and Ethics We must commit the resources—time, talent, and treasure—to continue developing leaders who go beyond the walls of the Sigma Nu house to lead their respective fields with the values and ethics that the fraternity taught them as undergraduates. 2
