PAGE 2 BEARTRACKS SigEp Prepares for the Spring Semester Missouri Gamma Chapter Continues to Succeed in Academics, Philanthropy, and Intramurals MO Gamma has proven we are the best fraternity at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Not only have we succeeded in academics and intramurals, we are excel- ling in recruitment, philanthropy, and campus involvement. Most impressively, Sigma Phi Epsilon is thriving while successfully transitioning to a substance-free facility. This past semester, SigEp finished first in grades among Greek organizations and is currently in first place in intramurals. We placed second in volleyball and hockey and finished first in swimming, paintball, softball, and flag football. We are in the process of securing a successful advocate for our speaker series for the upcoming semester. We are considering a 9/11 survivor or the CEO of a large company. For our philanthropy during the fall 2018 semester, SigEp held the second annual Sexual Assault Awareness Week, which raised nearly $2,000 for the local domestic violence shelter, Russell House. This spring, SigEp will host the annual car show. All proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children's Re- search Hospital. This semester, we have the largest spring recruitment class in many years. In addition, there are 13 members who have accepted spring co-ops with large companies across the nation. Currently, SigEp is in the process of releasing a website specific to the MS&T Chapter that will be used for recruit- ment purposes. The recruitment chairman has reached out to SigEp Nationals for new marketing techniques for recruitment, which led to a new Balanced Man Scholarship brochure that highlights areas of our great success and achievement. At a recent MS&T Interfraternity Council banquet, former President Logan Wilcox '19 was awarded Greek President of the Year, Jacob Trautman '19 was honored as best living out his fraternity's ide- als, and as a Chapter we were awarded the Anti-Hazing, Philanthropy Outreach, and Academic Goal Setting awards. After serving for well over a decade on the Alumni Board, Michael Kearney '61 has stepped down. We cannot thank him enough for his dedication to the MO Gamma Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon; his hard work has allowed our Chapter to become one of the most successful on campus. We cannot express enough gratitude to our alumni, par- ents, and MS&T for the continued support that drives us to be highly prosperous.
