TRAVEL ALERT: Continuous lane restrictions scheduled on State Route
95 in Parker beginning Feb. 19. Drivers should expect delays and allow
extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead
for around-the-clock lane restrictions on SR 95 between Beacon Road
and East Riverside Drive beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Contractors are scheduled to replace guard rail, install rock fall protec-
tion systems and concrete barrier wall as part of a project to improve
pavement between Beacon Road (milepost 148) and Buckskin Mountain
State Park (milepost 155) in Parker.
Work is scheduled to occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week, beginning
at 7 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, and ending Sunday, March 3.
The following restrictions will take place in the work zone:
• SR 95 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions.
• Motorists should anticipate up to 3 miles of lane closures daily while
crews progress through the work zone.
• An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
• The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph.
• Flaggers will direct motorists through a 1-mile stretch in the work zone
at night.
