n our renovation plan, our members offered this clear advice: while incorporating
modern amenities, we want the remodeled house to retain the character and history
of the college home we love.
AFFORDABILITY IS IMPORTANT: we don't want to lose great potential
members because they and their families can't cover the cost of rent, and we don't
want to fail in securing our alumnae support.
So that's exactly the charge we issued to our design team: craft a detailed renovation
plan to meet the needs of today's safety standards, collegiate expectations, and
affordability while maintaining historic touches that make us who we are as a sorority
and as a chapter.
Our plan includes solutions such as:
• A lovely entryway with new double doors leading to a refreshed living and
dining room with hardwood floors;
• A chef's kitchen with functional storage and energy-efficient appliances; and
• Updated bedrooms and bathrooms throughout the house with improved
security, expanded lighting, and stylish fixtures.

a fundraising feasibility study, Alpha Xi alumnae across the nation have given
resounding support for major chapter house updates. Current Alpha Xi collegians and
their families, alumnae, and friends of Alpha Xi have started giving already.
