Bilingual Story Time - The Fair Housing 5 & the Haunted House
The City of Fayetteville Fair Housing Board and the Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Department and Commission will
host a bilingual story time for children (6 yrs+) and their families to experience the story of Samaria and her five friends who work
together to take creative action against housing discrimination in their community. Join us on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm
at the North Regional Library, at 855 McArthur Rd, Fayetteville for the story time and crafts. The first 25 children will receive a FREE
copy of the book.
This bilingual story time is a collaboration between the City of Fayetteville Fair Housing Board, the Fayetteville-Cumberland Human
Relations Department, Commission and Cumberland County Library.

Hosts Construction Business Workshop
A workshop on how to start a construction business will be held at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin St., on Tuesday, Feb. 5
from 2 to 4 p.m. The workshop will be hosted by the U.S. DOT South Atlantic Region Small Business Transportation Resource
Center in the second floor Community Room.
Topics that will be covered include:
• How to start your own business
• Requirements
• Best practices
• Certification programs available to small, minority and women-owned firms
• Finding public and private contracts
• Small business resources

The City of Fayetteville has a citizen E-newsletter titled City Happenings.
The E-newsletter keeps residents informed of what the City is doing to support them.
It is published to subscribers every two weeks on a Mondays. Content includes news
releases, videos produced by FayTV, a data center with links to important information
on the City website (calendar, Permits, Council District Finder, Council meeting agendas, Open Data Portal,
TracStat, etc.) and recent news articles relevant to the City. It is aesthetically pleasing to see and read.
